Description

This vibrant and health-boosting turmeric shot combines fresh turmeric and ginger with citrus juices, black pepper, and optional spices to create a powerful anti-inflammatory and immune-supporting wellness drink. Perfect for a quick morning boost or anytime you need a natural pick-me-up.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup fresh turmeric root, peeled and chopped (or 1 tablespoon ground turmeric)
  • ¼ cup fresh ginger root, peeled and chopped
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice (about 3–4 lemons)
  • ¼ cup orange juice (fresh or bottled)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • â…› teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional, for extra kick)
  • ½ cup filtered water

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients: In a high-speed blender, add the turmeric, ginger, lemon juice, orange juice, honey (if using), black pepper, cayenne pepper (if using), and filtered water.
  2. Blend: Blend the mixture on high until completely smooth to ensure all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Strain: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a bowl or jar to remove the pulp, resulting in a smooth liquid.
  4. Store and serve: Pour the strained liquid into small glass bottles or shot glasses. Chill in the refrigerator before serving or store for up to 5 days.
  5. Shake before use: Shake well before each shot to mix any settled ingredients.

Notes

  • Black pepper is essential as it enhances the absorption of curcumin, the active compound in turmeric.
  • For convenience, freeze the shots in ice cube trays and thaw as needed.
  • You can add a splash of coconut water or apple cider vinegar for additional health benefits.
