  • 1/2 cup whole milk

Chocolate Sauce:

  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare batter: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease baking dish. Sift flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, beat egg and sugar, add jam, vanilla, vinegar, and milk. Stir in melted butter. Combine wet and dry ingredients.
  2. Bake the pudding: Pour batter into dish. Bake for 30–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. Make the chocolate sauce: In a saucepan, combine cream, butter, sugar, cocoa, and vanilla. Heat until smooth.
  4. Finish and serve: Pour warm sauce over baked pudding. Let soak for 10 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
