Description
These Savory Garlic Butter Steak Bites are tender sirloin cubes seared to perfection and tossed in a fragrant garlic butter sauce, making them a quick and flavorful appetizer or main dish perfect for any steak lover.
Ingredients
Scale
Steak
- 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Cooking Fat & Flavorings
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Season the Steak: Pat the sirloin steak cubes dry thoroughly with paper towels to ensure a good sear. Season them generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper on all sides.
- Heat the Skillet: Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Heat until the oil is hot and shimmering, but not smoking.
- Sear the Steak Cubes: Add the steak cubes in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Sear for 2 to 3 minutes on each side to develop a brown crust and cook to your preferred doneness.
- Set Aside the Steak: Remove the browned steak bites from the skillet and transfer them to a plate, setting aside.
- Melt Butter and Cook Garlic: Reduce the skillet heat to medium. Add the butter to the skillet and allow it to melt completely. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant, taking care not to burn the garlic.
- Combine Steak with Garlic Butter: Return the cooked steak bites to the skillet and toss them thoroughly in the garlic butter sauce to coat evenly.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the steak bites for a touch of color and fresh flavor. Serve immediately while hot and juicy.
Notes
- For even cooking, make sure steak cubes are roughly the same size.
- Do not overcrowd the pan when searing to maintain a good crust.
- Use fresh garlic for the best flavor in the butter sauce.
- Adjust seasoning after cooking if needed.
- You can substitute sirloin with ribeye or filet mignon for a more tender bite.
