Description

This rich and creamy Peanut Butter Ganache combines the smoothness of chocolate with the nutty flavor of peanut butter, creating a versatile topping that’s perfect for glazing, drizzling, or filling your favorite desserts. Easy to make with just a few ingredients, this ganache can be customized to your preferred texture and sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale

Ganache Ingredients

  • 1 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the Cream: In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer—do not boil to prevent scorching or breaking the ganache.
  2. Combine with Chocolate: Remove the saucepan from heat and immediately pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips placed in a heatproof bowl. Let it sit undisturbed for 2–3 minutes to allow the chocolate to soften and melt properly.
  3. Stir Ganache Smooth: Gradually stir the mixture with a spatula or whisk until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  4. Add Peanut Butter: Incorporate the peanut butter into the melted chocolate mixture, stirring until completely blended and the ganache has a uniform creamy texture with a shiny finish.
  5. Flavor Enhancements: If desired, mix in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor complexity of the ganache.
  6. Cool and Use: Allow the ganache to cool slightly before using it as a glaze, drizzle, or dip. Note that as it cools, it will thicken and can be whipped or refrigerated for use as frosting or a truffle filling.

Notes

  • For a thicker consistency, reduce the amount of heavy cream slightly or chill the ganache longer before use.
  • Use chunky peanut butter to add texture to the ganache.
  • Add a tablespoon of honey for extra shine and natural sweetness.
