Description

These no-bake Peanut Butter Bars combine creamy peanut butter, crunchy graham cracker crumbs, and a smooth chocolate topping for a rich and satisfying treat. Perfectly balanced with sweet powdered sugar and melted butter, these bars set in the refrigerator and make an easy, crowd-pleasing dessert or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Layer

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar

Chocolate Topping

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base Mixture: In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of creamy peanut butter, melted unsalted butter, graham cracker crumbs, and powdered sugar. Mix thoroughly until the texture is smooth and well integrated, forming a thick, crumbly dough.
  2. Press into Pan: Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan lightly, then evenly press the peanut butter mixture into the pan. Use a spatula to smooth the top surface for an even layer.
  3. Melt Chocolate Topping: Place the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until the mixture is fully melted and smooth.
  4. Spread Chocolate over Base: Pour the melted chocolate and peanut butter mixture over the base layer in the pan. Spread it evenly with a spatula to cover the entire surface.
  5. Chill and Set: Refrigerate the pan for at least 2 hours to allow the chocolate topping to fully set and the bars to firm up. Once hardened, cut into 24 squares and serve.

Notes

  • Ensure the peanut butter in the topping is well combined with the chocolate to prevent separation.
  • For easier cutting, chill the bars until they are very firm.
  • You can substitute graham cracker crumbs with digestive biscuit crumbs for a different flavor.
  • Store bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • These bars are a no-bake recipe, perfect for hot weather or when you want a quick dessert.
