Description

Monster Energy Bites are a quick and easy no-bake snack combining oats, peanut butter, honey, and colorful mini chocolate candies. These bite-sized treats are perfect for a wholesome energy boost anytime during the day and require minimal preparation with no cooking involved.

Ingredients

Scale

Energy Bites Ingredients

  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup mini M&Ms
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the old-fashioned oats, natural peanut butter, honey, mini chocolate chips, mini M&Ms, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to start forming the mixture.
  2. Mix Well: Stir the mixture thoroughly until well combined. Adjust the texture by adding more oats if too sticky, or more peanut butter or honey if too dry.
  3. Chill Mixture: Place the bowl in the refrigerator and chill the mixture for about 30 minutes to firm it up for shaping.
  4. Form Bites: After chilling, roll the mixture into small bite-sized balls, approximately 1 inch in diameter.
  5. Set the Bites: Arrange the energy bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for another 30 minutes so they set properly.
  6. Store: Keep the energy bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week to maintain freshness.

Notes

  • If the mixture is too sticky to handle, adding extra oats will help firm it up.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of honey to your preference.
  • For a nut-free version, substitute peanut butter with a seed butter like sunflower seed butter.
  • These bites can also be frozen for longer storage; thaw before serving.
  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking during chilling.
