Ingredients
Scale
Sandwich:
- 4 slices of sourdough or white bread
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped (use more or less to taste)
- 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
Instructions
- Prepare Cream Cheese Filling: In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese with chopped jalapeños and crumbled bacon if using.
- Assemble Sandwiches: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on two slices of bread. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella on top, then cover with the remaining bread slices to form sandwiches.
- Cook Grilled Cheese: Butter the outside of each slice of bread. Heat a skillet over medium heat, place sandwiches in the pan, and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Serve: Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Use pickled jalapeños for a tangier flavor or remove seeds for a milder sandwich.
- You can add crushed tortilla chips for extra crunch or swap in pepper jack cheese for more heat.
