Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 7 cups popped popcorn
- 11 ounces caramel candies
- 25 marshmallows
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 8 ounces Reese’s Pieces
For Decoration
- 6 ounces green melting chocolate
- 3 ounces purple melting chocolate
- Popsicle sticks
- Halloween sprinkles
- Edible eyeballs
Instructions
- Prepare Workspace: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside to cool the popcorn balls after shaping.
- Melt Ingredients: In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter. Once fully melted, add the caramel candies, marshmallows, and cinnamon. Stir continuously with a rubber spatula until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
- Mix with Popcorn: Quickly add the popped popcorn to the melted caramel mixture. Fold in the Reese’s Pieces gently but thoroughly to evenly distribute the candies without crushing the popcorn.
- Shape Popcorn Balls: Lightly spray your hands with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Form the mixture into balls about the size of an orange. Place each ball on the prepared parchment paper and insert a popsicle stick in the center. Let them cool completely to set.
- Decorate: Once the popcorn balls have cooled and hardened, dip the bottom of each ball into the green melting chocolate and Halloween sprinkles. Drizzle the purple melting chocolate over the opposite side of the ball. Before the chocolate hardens, place edible eyeballs or more Halloween sprinkles on top for a spooky effect.
Notes
- Spraying your hands with cooking spray helps prevent the sticky caramel mixture from clinging while shaping the balls.
- Use low heat when melting ingredients to avoid burning the caramel and marshmallows.
- Allow the popcorn balls to cool completely before decorating to ensure the chocolate sets properly.
- Store popcorn balls in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
- You can substitute different candy pieces for Reese’s Pieces if desired.
