Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with black liners.
- Prepare Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, gelatin powder, tonic water, oil, egg whites, and vanilla. Add food coloring if desired and beat until smooth.
- Bake: Divide batter among cupcake liners and bake for 18–20 minutes. Let cool.
- Make Frosting: Beat butter until fluffy, add powdered sugar gradually, then mix in tonic water and vanilla. Frost cooled cupcakes.
