- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Tortillas
- 8-10 medium tortillas (flour or corn)
Toppings (optional)
- Sour cream
- Salsa
- Iceberg lettuce
- Diced tomatoes
- Chopped cilantro
- Lime juice
Instructions
- Prepare the shrimp: If using frozen shrimp, thaw them under cool running water until completely defrosted. Peel and devein the shrimp, removing the tails for easier eating.
- Prepare toppings: While the shrimp thaw, prepare your taco toppings such as sour cream, salsa, chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, cilantro, and lime wedges so they are ready to assemble the tacos.
- Cook the shrimp: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Add the shrimp along with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook the shrimp for approximately 5-6 minutes, stirring or flipping occasionally, until they turn pink and are cooked through.
- Assemble the tacos: Warm the tortillas if desired. Spoon the cooked shrimp onto each tortilla and add your preferred toppings. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
