Description

Indulge in these delicious Donkey Balls, a no-bake treat featuring a creamy peanut butter center coated in rich chocolate. Perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings!

Ingredients

Scale

Peanut Butter Balls:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Chocolate Coating:

  • 2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening (optional, for smoother melting)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Peanut Butter Balls: In a large bowl, mix together peanut butter, softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and Rice Krispies until well combined.
  2. Shape and Chill: Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for 20–30 minutes until firm.
  3. Melt Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips (with coconut oil if using) in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  4. Dip and Coat: Dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off. Place back on the baking sheet.
  5. Set and Serve: Refrigerate dipped balls until chocolate sets (about 15–20 minutes). Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • You can use crunchy peanut butter or add chopped nuts for added texture.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.
