Description

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Optional Topping:

Instructions

  1. Make the Cake Base: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add oil, vanilla, and milk, then gradually add dry ingredients, stirring until smooth. Pour batter into a prepared pan and bake.
  2. Make the Mousse Layer: Melt dark chocolate and butter, stir in vanilla. Whip cream and sugar to peaks, fold into chocolate. Spread mousse over cooled cake layer and refrigerate.
