- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Creamy Sauce:
- 4 oz cream cheese, cubed and softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Additional Ingredients:
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Lightly grease the crockpot. Sauté diced onion in a skillet until soft.
- Make Creamy Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together sour cream, cream cheese, chicken broth, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Layer Ingredients: Place frozen pierogies in the crockpot. Add sautéed onions, kielbasa, and cheddar cheese. Pour the sauce over everything.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 3–4 hours until heated through. Stir before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
