Description

Enjoy these Crispy Low Calorie Air Fryer Zucchini Fries as a guilt-free snack or side dish. With a crunchy coating and tender zucchini inside, these fries are a healthier alternative to traditional fries.

Ingredients

Scale

Zucchini Fries:

  • 2 medium zucchinis, cut into fry-sized sticks
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs (or panko for extra crunch)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Prepare Coating: Whisk the egg in a shallow bowl. In another bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat Zucchini: Dip zucchini sticks in egg, then coat in breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly. Place in a single layer in the air fryer basket, spray with olive oil.
  4. Air Fry: Air fry for 8-10 minutes at 400°F, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy. Work in batches if needed.
  5. Serve: Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce like marinara, ranch, or Greek yogurt dip.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use almond flour instead of breadcrumbs.
  • Avoid salting zucchini ahead to keep them crispy.
  • Best eaten fresh but can be reheated in the air fryer.
