For the Mushroom Mixture:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 8 oz cremini or white mushrooms, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Dip:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup green onions or parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the mushrooms: In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook mushrooms until softened. Add garlic, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
- Mix the dip: In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Parmesan, half of the mozzarella, and the cooked mushroom mixture. Mix well.
- Bake: Transfer the dip to a baking dish, top with remaining mozzarella, and bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Serve: Garnish with green onions or parsley. Serve warm with crackers, baguette, or vegetables.
