Description

This Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pork Chops recipe features tender boneless pork chops cooked to golden perfection and smothered in a luscious garlic-infused Parmesan cream sauce. Perfectly seasoned and easy to prepare, this dish combines rich flavors and a comforting creamy texture for a satisfying family meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Pork Chops

  • 4 boneless pork chops (approximately 3-4 ounces each)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1½ tablespoons salted butter

Sauce

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat the skillet: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and allow it to melt, stirring to coat the pan evenly with the melted butter.
  2. Season the pork chops: Sprinkle each pork chop on both sides with salt and pepper according to your taste preferences.
  3. Cook the pork chops: Place the pork chops into the skillet and cook each side for 4-5 minutes, or until both sides are golden brown. Then, turn off the heat, cover the skillet tightly with a lid, and let the pork chops sit for 8-10 minutes to finish cooking through. Once done, remove the pork chops and keep them warm on a foil-tented plate.
  4. Prepare the pan for sauce: Scrape the skillet to release all the flavorful browned bits left from cooking the pork chops. Do not clean the pan as these bits will add depth to the sauce.
  5. Make the sauce: Return the pan to medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the flour and heavy cream quickly to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Finish the sauce: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley. Continue stirring until everything is fully combined and heated through, creating a creamy, cheesy sauce.
  7. Serve: Return the pork chops to the pan with the sauce to coat them, then serve immediately. Enjoy your creamy garlic Parmesan pork chops!

Notes

  • Using a lid to finish cooking the pork chops helps them stay moist and tender.
  • Do not skip scraping the pan before making the sauce; those browned bits add excellent flavor.
  • Make sure to simmer the sauce after adding cream and flour to reach the perfect consistency.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese melts better and offers superior flavor compared to pre-grated varieties.
  • This dish pairs wonderfully with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a side salad.
