Description

This Creamy Cheddar BBQ Ranch Chicken Alfredo is a delicious and hearty skillet meal combining tender chicken with a rich blend of barbecue sauce, ranch dressing, and cheeses. Tossed with perfectly cooked fettuccine, this dish offers a smoky, cheesy, and flavorful twist on classic chicken Alfredo, perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta

Chicken and Seasoning

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Sauce

  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Garnish

  • Chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the bite-sized chicken pieces with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until fully cooked and lightly browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Add sauces: Lower the heat to low. Stir in the barbecue sauce and ranch dressing, coating the chicken evenly with the mixture.
  4. Make the creamy sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, stirring to combine all ingredients. Gradually add the shredded cheddar and Parmesan cheeses, stirring constantly until the cheeses melt and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  5. Toss pasta with sauce: Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss everything together to coat the pasta thoroughly with the sauce. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until heated through and well combined.
  6. Serve: Plate the creamy chicken Alfredo pasta and garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • You can use rotisserie chicken instead of raw chicken for quicker preparation.
  • Adjust the amount and type of BBQ sauce to achieve a smokier or sweeter flavor according to your preference.
  • Substitute fettuccine with penne or rotini pasta to change up the texture.
