Ingredients
Scale
Rollup Dough and Filling
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or cheese blend)
- Optional: 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor
Garlic Butter Mixture
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley (or fresh)
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to blend all flavors.
- Prepare Dough: Roll out the crescent dough on a flat surface and pinch the seams together to form a single solid sheet. Then cut the sheet into 8 equal-sized rectangles.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over each rectangle, leaving a small border around the edges to prevent overflowing.
- Roll and Place: Carefully roll up each rectangle tightly from one end to the other, then place the rollups seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush with Garlic Butter: Brush each rollup with the garlic butter mixture, reserving some of the mixture for after baking.
- Bake: Bake the rollups in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until they are golden brown and the cheese inside is bubbling.
- Finish and Serve: Once baked, brush the rollups again with the remaining garlic butter. If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Use a cheese blend (such as mozzarella and cheddar) for more complex flavor.
- Fresh parsley can be used instead of dried for a brighter herb flavor.
- Brush the rollups well with garlic butter to ensure maximum buttery garlic taste.
- Serve with marinara sauce or ranch dip for added dipping options.
- These rollups can be made ahead and reheated in the oven for leftovers.
