Description

These Cheesy Garlic Butter Rollups are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack. Made with crescent roll dough, melted garlic butter, and gooey mozzarella cheese, they bake up golden and irresistible. Perfect for parties, game days, or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale

Rollup Dough and Filling

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or cheese blend)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor

Garlic Butter Mixture

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (or fresh)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
  2. Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to blend all flavors.
  3. Prepare Dough: Roll out the crescent dough on a flat surface and pinch the seams together to form a single solid sheet. Then cut the sheet into 8 equal-sized rectangles.
  4. Add Cheese: Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over each rectangle, leaving a small border around the edges to prevent overflowing.
  5. Roll and Place: Carefully roll up each rectangle tightly from one end to the other, then place the rollups seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush with Garlic Butter: Brush each rollup with the garlic butter mixture, reserving some of the mixture for after baking.
  7. Bake: Bake the rollups in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until they are golden brown and the cheese inside is bubbling.
  8. Finish and Serve: Once baked, brush the rollups again with the remaining garlic butter. If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use a cheese blend (such as mozzarella and cheddar) for more complex flavor.
  • Fresh parsley can be used instead of dried for a brighter herb flavor.
  • Brush the rollups well with garlic butter to ensure maximum buttery garlic taste.
  • Serve with marinara sauce or ranch dip for added dipping options.
  • These rollups can be made ahead and reheated in the oven for leftovers.
