Ingredients
Scale
Beef Filling
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Wrap Assembly
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Sour cream, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat skillet. Heat a skillet over medium heat on the stove to prepare for cooking the ground beef.
- Cook ground beef. Add the ground beef to the hot skillet, breaking it up with a spatula and cooking until browned and no longer pink.
- Season beef. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper over the cooked beef. Stir thoroughly to combine the seasoning evenly.
- Remove from heat. Once fully cooked and seasoned, take the skillet off the heat.
- Prepare tortilla base. Lay one flour tortilla flat on a clean surface to assemble your wrap.
- Add cheese. Evenly sprinkle one-quarter of the shredded cheddar cheese over the tortilla as the first layer.
- Add beef. Spoon one-quarter of the seasoned ground beef on top of the cheese layer.
- Add fresh toppings. Top the beef with a portion of diced tomatoes and chopped cilantro to add freshness and color.
- Roll wrap. Roll the tortilla tightly from one side to form a secure wrap enclosing all fillings inside.
- Repeat assembly. Repeat steps 5 through 9 with the remaining tortillas and fillings, making four wraps total.
- Toast wraps. Return the skillet to medium heat and place each wrap seam side down in the skillet.
- Cook until golden. Cook the wraps for 2-3 minutes on each side until the tortillas are crispy and golden brown and the cheese inside is melted.
- Remove and rest. Transfer the toasted wraps to a cutting board.
- Slice wraps. Using a sharp knife, cut each wrap diagonally in half for easier handling and presentation.
- Serve. Plate the cheesy beef wraps and serve with a side of sour cream for dipping.
- Enjoy. Dig into your warm, flavorful cheesy beef wraps and enjoy every bite!
Notes
- You can swap flour tortillas for whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas for a different texture or dietary need.
- Adjust seasoning to taste, adding extra spice if you like heat or reducing salt for a lower sodium option.
- For added veggies, consider adding sautéed peppers or onions to the beef mixture.
- Leftover wraps can be refrigerated and reheated in a skillet or microwave.
