Description

These Big Mac Wraps are a delicious and easy-to-make take on the classic fast-food favorite, featuring seasoned ground beef, crunchy pickles, crisp lettuce, diced onions, shredded cheddar cheese, and tangy Thousand Island dressing all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner, these wraps offer all the flavors of a Big Mac in a convenient handheld form.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Wrap Assembly

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing or Big Mac-style sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked, about 6 to 8 minutes. While cooking, season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Once done, drain any excess fat and set the beef aside.
  2. Warm the Tortillas: Slightly warm the flour tortillas to make them pliable and easier to roll without cracking. This can be done by heating them in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds.
  3. Assemble the Wraps: Lay each tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a spoonful of Thousand Island dressing in the center of each tortilla to add flavor and moisture. Layer with the cooked ground beef, followed by shredded iceberg lettuce, diced pickles, diced onions, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Roll the Wraps: Fold the sides of the tortilla inward over the filling, then roll up tightly from the bottom to fully enclose the ingredients and form a neat wrap.
  5. Toast the Wraps: To add a golden, crispy exterior, place the wraps seam-side down in a dry skillet over medium heat. Toast each side for 1 to 2 minutes until the wrap is golden brown and slightly crispy. Be careful to keep the heat moderate to avoid burning.
  6. Serve: Remove from the skillet and serve immediately while warm for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • For a lower-carb option, substitute low-carb tortillas or use large lettuce leaves instead of flour tortillas.
  • You can make your own Big Mac sauce by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, vinegar, and spices for a fresher alternative to store-bought dressing.
