Cheese and Oil
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (divided into 3/4 cup and 1/4 cup)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
Instructions
- Preheat and prepare dish: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
- Sauté vegetables: Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion, green, and red bell peppers, cooking for 4–5 minutes until they are softened. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Mix eggs and seasoning: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Combine ingredients: Stir the sautéed vegetables, diced cooked ham, and 3/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese into the egg mixture, ensuring everything is evenly distributed.
- Pour and top: Pour the combined mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
- Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the eggs are fully set and the top has a nice golden color.
- Cool and serve: Allow the baked omelet to cool for about 5 minutes before slicing into 6 servings. Serve warm and enjoy!
