Description

These Baked Apple Fritters are a delightful and healthier twist on the classic fried fritters. Loaded with diced apples and warm spices, these fritters are baked to perfection and topped with a sweet vanilla glaze.

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and prepare a muffin tin.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, applesauce, vanilla, and melted butter.
  4. Blend wet and dry: Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in diced apples.
  5. Bake: Spoon batter into muffin tin and bake for 18–22 minutes.
  6. Make glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for glaze.
  7. Glaze and serve: Drizzle glaze over cooled fritters and enjoy!
